Day 3 Baden-Baden to Bodensee
Black Forest Flow - From Ridge Roads to Lake Constance.
Day three marks the shift from transit to rhythm. Leaving Baden-Baden, we enter the Black Forest proper and follow the legendary B500 - Schwarzwaldhochstrasse. Long sweepers, elevated ridge roads, and dense forest scenery create a smooth and confident riding experience. This is not about technical hairpins yet; it is about flow. The route balances panoramic stretches with tighter sections as we pass through Freudenstadt and continue southward. The Black Forest offers clean asphalt, steady elevation changes, and a calm riding atmosphere - a perfect warm-up before the higher alpine passes to come. Gradually, the landscape opens up. Forested hills give way to broader valleys, and by the time we approach Lake Constance, the terrain begins to feel lighter and more expansive. We end the day at the shores of Bodensee - the last calm before the mountains truly rise. This is a day of rhythm, scenery, and preparation.
